Getting There
Layang Layang is a one hour flight north of Sabah’s capital Kota Kinabalu. There is only one resort on the island and that is “Layang Layang Island Resort”. Please note that there is a 25 kg maximum baggage allowance on the flight between Kota Kinabalu and the Island. Scuba divers visiting Layang-Layang should attempt to keep their baggage for the trip down to a minimum. Should you have extra non-essential baggage, left baggage storage can be arranged for you on the mainland.

Diving Season
You can dive Layang Layang from February to October. The resort operates from March to August. This is to facilitate our annual maintenance of the resort.
